The 1st International Youth Symposium on Creative Agriculture (IYSCA) is a symposium held by IAAS Local Committee IPB on July 27th 2016 as a part of The 59th IAAS World Congress. IAAS stands for International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences, a student organization for agricultural students worldwide based in Leuven, Belgium which was established in 1957.
IYSCA is a place for University students to discuss and share their knowledge, expertise, and experience on the principles, instruments, and issues related to ideas towards the significance of the agricultural and related sciences interaction. There are three sub-themes discussed on the symposium, those are Creative Applied Agriculture, Creative Agribusiness, and Creative Agricultural Education and Social Project. Creative Applied Agriculture means sustaining and enhancing human life by performing the original ideas and abilities to be applied in daily life and generating solutions in the aspect of agricultural development. Creative Agribusiness means developing agriculture with corporate farming from upstream to downstream, commercial principles, innovations, and creations to reach prosperity, maximize society potential, and get maximum benefit. While, Creative Agricultural Education and Social Project means educating and empowering society to contribute on agriculture development through social programs which collaborates community and agricultural workers.
This proceeding records all papers presented at the symposium. Firstly, applicants who register their self to join IYSCA had to submit an abstract. After their abstracts are accepted, they are asked to submit the full paper. Next, the papers are reviewed by reviewers who master the sub-theme matters and then the author could revise the paper. Lastly, those revised papers are made to be a proceeding. The proceeding consists of preface, index, and 18 papers.
